Counselor Requirements and Qualifications 

  • Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, counseling or a related mental health field

  • Hold a valid clinical license in the State of Texas

  • Exhibit superb written and spoken communication skills

  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple clients

  • Maintain a calm and positive attitude

  • Be self-directed and self-motivated

Therapist Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Diagnose mental and emotional disorders for clients

  • Provide counseling services for individuals, couples, families, and groups

  • Set client goals and create a treatment plan

  • Use therapeutic modalities to support, empathize, and help clients cope with various issues and challenges

  • Refer clients to resources such as psychiatrists, treatment facilities, or community services

  • Maintain good working relationships with support networks and community resources

  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and directors

  • Help clients with a variety of issues within the therapist’s scope of competence and specialization

Administrative Assistant:

Job Summary:

  • The Administrative Assistant will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. The administrative assistant will oversee all matters regarding scheduling, payments and general office organization.

  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests, determining the purpose of each person's visit and directs them as needed.

  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.

  • Receives mail, documents, and packages and distributes items. 

  • Keeps office supplies stocked and organized.

  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.

  • Performs basic filing and record keeping.

  • Takes payments from clients and bills insurance companies as needed.

  • Performs other duties as requested by directors and therapists.

  • Maintains confidentiality of clients.

Required Skills: 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Able to learn new computer programs as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
